Located at 9513 Yupondale Dr., Houston, TX 77080, The Fritz Kennel is in the heart of the Spring Branch/Memorial area. The nearest major intersection is Bunker Hill and Long Point Rd.
  • When can I drop off and pick up my dog(s)?
Office Hours Monday – Friday 7:00am – 10:00am 3:00pm – 7:00pm Saturday 8:00am – 10:00am 4:00pm – 6:00pm Sunday 2:00pm – 6:00pm *Please note that we are staffed outside of these hours, and use that time to concentrate on the care of your dogs. Our overnight boarding clients are welcome to drop-off and pick-up during either our morning or afternoon hours. We encourage earlier drop-offs for boarding so that your dog can get plenty of playtime before bedtime!
  • Do you offer discount for long term boarding?
Yes we do! Check out our pricing page for 10+ night rates, and contact us for extended stay pricing.
  • How is The Fritz Kennel different from other boarding facilities?
At The Fritz Kennel, we are known for our fun open-play environment and amazing customer service. We take pride in getting to know each pet in our care and treating them like our own!
  • What is required for my dog to stay at The Fritz Kennel?
We encourage all new clients to review the "I'm New" Page to ensure The Fritz Kennel is a good fit for your dog. The basics: - Minimum 4 months old - Must be spayed or neutered if 8+ months old - Current on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations (vaccines must be administered by a vet). - Must be social with other dogs and not show aggression towards humans.
  • What kind of dogs or breeds do you accept?
We do not breed discriminate at The Fritz Kennel; however, an open play environment is not suitable for all dogs. Unfortunately we are unable to accept dogs that show aggression towards other dogs or people that cannot be redirected into appropriate playtime behavior.
  • When and what will my dog(s) be fed?
The Fritz Kennel dogs are fed twice a day, morning and evening, or based on specific feeding instructions. If your dog has a sensitive stomach or is a newcomer to The Fritz Kennel, we encourage you to bring your pet’s own food to help protect against stomach upset. Please be sure to label your food and feeding amounts (many of our customers use pre-portioned baggies). If you do not bring your pet’s regular food, we will feed your dog a dry, grain free dog food.
  • What happens if my pet is injured or becomes ill?
Our kennel staff is equipped to handle minor injuries. In the event of illness or serious injury, we will take your pet to your regular vet if possible or to an emergency care vet for immediate attention. The Fritz Kennel will attempt to notify you prior to being taken to the vet unless in an emergency.
  • Do you offer discounted rates for multiple dogs?
We sure do! We understand that having multiple dogs can get pretty expensive and we’d like to help out. Please visit our Pricing page for more information.
  • May I leave toys or bedding with my dog?
We do not accept owner bedding or toys at this time. All dogs are provided with bedding at no charge. We also have plenty of bowls, so no need to bring your own.
  • What if I need to cancel or change a reservation?
The Fritz Kennel prides itself on flexibility. We will never charge you for a reservation change or cancellation for a non-holiday visit, and you only pay for actual nights stayed. Thus, if you book a stay until Sunday and come back early for a Saturday pickup, you will not be charged for Saturday night. During holidays, we may take a 50% deposit to hold your reservation. We reserve the right to charge you for 4 nights during holidays if you do not cancel at least seven days prior to your drop off date. You will never be charged a fee for cancelling or changing a doggy daycare reservation.
